Unanswered: Changing user table to new prefix and...

I am trying to get 48 users to new database from old one. Prefixes are different between DB. ttpo1 and ttpo2. Want users from ttpo1 added to ttpo2.
should I export just those user tables from old DB, rename the prefix, and then import into new DB?
Just trying to make sure before I screw something up. Any help is appreciated.

The prefixes are of the Table Database. ex: ttpo1_ak_stats
There are 11 tables that need to go to new DB. Should I take the tables and change prefixes with notepad, with "find and replace"? Then upload changes to new DB?

    personally
I'd DUMP the data from the old DB to a file
    edit the file
upload the edited file into the new DB

alternatively if both DB's are visible to the same server you could do the operation directly using SQL
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
