Unanswered: DB2 LOAD 2 characters column delimiter? howto

    Hi,
I need an advice on delimiters handling in DB2.
I want to load some data where columns are delimited by a delimiter composed of two caracters .
I have noticed and read that such caracter is not supported knowing that the valid range for the delimiters is 0x00 - 0x7F inclusive.
So ok I would use ";;" instead because in the data below 0x7F I may have the caracter present.
Therefore I need to use 2 caracters for the delimiter.

The question is HOW to do it with LOAD in db2?
    for now I have
LOAD ..... MODIFIED BY COLDEL0x3b but this allows only ";" and not ";;".
    Is there any way?

    Thanks upfront,
    Kind regards,

    Hi,

    I used COLDEL0xf6 so 0xf6 for .

But the real issue is how to use 2 characters as a column delimiter.
So that I can use ";;" or ",," ... so that data are not considered as delimiter.

    Thanks,

Where did the concept of using a "double delimiter" originate?

I have noticed and read that such caracter is not supported knowing that the valid range for the delimiters is 0x00 - 0x7F inclusive.
    Where did you read this?
