    Help - asap

    I have two table and the third table is the result ... Can some one tell me an sql statement which will help me attain that output

    Table 1:
    Dept Start End Location
    D1 1 7 Boston
    D1 8 20 Riverside

    Table 2:
    Dept Start End Manager
    D1 1 10 John
    D1 11 20 Mart



    Output:

    Dept Start End Location Manager
    D1 1 7 Boston John
    D1 8 10 Riverside John
    D1 11 20 Riverside Mart

    You need to ask your question in the appropriate subforum. Oracle? SQL Server? Access? DB2?

    look up how to use JOINS
    or
    you coudl use the deprecated where syntax
    eg
    WHERE MyTable1.Acolumn = MyTable2.AColumn

    however if you are learnignyou'd be better off using a JOIN statement
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
