Technical expertise on NIST Requirement (NIST 800-37/53/30)

Prime Responsibilities

Supports the Program Security Manager. Provide expertise in the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of systems and environments. Develops security management plans, risk assessments, contingency plans. Supports C&A training and best security practices. Supports Privacy Impact Assessments, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), IT security Architecture advice, and configuration standards.


Through the C&A process, work with stakeholders and identify areas of improvement based on NIST SP 800-53A control families (e.g., Contingency planning, Incident Response, Access Control, Configuration Management) and contribute to the necessary planning, SOP development, implementation and execution to meet Federal compliance. 
Perform comprehensive assessments and updates as necessary.
