    Unanswered: Run procedure in a different batch/process

    Hi guys! I need help.
    I'm quite new to Sybase and don't know, how to solve one problem.

    The problem is that I have a stored procedute, which calls anoter stored procedure from itself:
    Code:
    Create procedure MainProc
    As
    Begin
    /*Some code goes here...*/
    exec NestedProcedure
    Some other code goes here*/
    end
    This procedure executes some code, then it calls the NestedProcedure and waits until the NestedProcedure returns its result.
    But is it somehow possible not to wait for the NestedProcedure completion – just to run it in different process or bath or something and continue with the rest of the code immediately?
    In other words I need to run the NestedProcedure with some kind of ‘nohup’ (UNIX analogue).

    Thank you very much for help!

    That is not possible as far as I know. The code in the parent-stored procedure is executed statement after statement, and only when 1 statement finishes, the next statement executes.
    I'm not crazy, I'm an aeroplane!
