Unanswered: Unable to drop the database

    Hi ,

In our setup Db2 V9.7 with fixpack 4

    Unable to drop the database.

    [db2inst1@prddw1 ~]$ db2 list db directory on /db2home/db2inst1

    Local Database Directory on /db2home/db2inst1

Number of entries in the directory = 2

    Database 1 entry:

    Database alias = TIS
    Database name = TIS
    Database directory = SQL00001
    Database release level = d.00
    Comment =
    Directory entry type = Home
Catalog database partition number = 0
    Database partition number = 0

    [db2inst1@prddw1 ~]$ db2 drop db TIS
SQL1013N The database alias name or database name "TIS " could not be
    found. SQLSTATE=42705

    Thanks,

    that is the problem
the db still exists but is not cataloged
with your first command you list the db that are still in this path
db2 list db directory lists cataloged db
try db2 catalog db .... and drop db
