Unanswered: Really need some help here!

    hi guys,

I've installed MySQL windows pack that comes with the workbench etc, and ive installed HeidiSQL which is what I want to use.

I'm trying to look for videos that can show me how to create a basic DB but i cant find any. They all refer to an arcemu folder which I do not have.

Can somebody tell me what I have to do to get a database started using HeidiSQL?

dunno can't help you there as I don't use HeidiSQL, I use MySQL Workbench....
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

you first need to establish a connection to your mysql server in Session Manager

you have to provide network type (can't help you here, i don't know the differences in the network types, i use tcp/ip for both my local mysql and my web host and that works for both) and hostname (either mysqlx.mywebserver.com or 127.0.0.1), then user and password and port 3306

after you're in, you can create a new database with the CREATE DATABASE command in a new query

    helps so far?
