Why do you help on forums?
I am just generally wondering why many of you spend some of your time helping people on a forum to gain nothing in return (mainly referencing to the people who have very few questions of their own for the forum)?
I do this too on mainly computing help forums, I do it sometimes just to pass the time, what about you?
1. I don't have a life.
2. I actually have found new customers doing this.
3. I don't have a life
i do it for practice, to keep my skill sharp
(skill, singular... i have only one)
Good question. I keep asking myself this question over and over again... I guess I'm addicted and can't stop now.
Because i can . . .
I firmly believe that once we have done "our thing" a long time, we should be willing to put something back in.
Besides, it is quite enjoyable
A challange (for me) is to not overuse the emoticons . . .
Sorry man, couldn't resist answering your questions.

Shallow? I thought it was a vast sea of ego that drove you ;-)
I do it for the challenge, and to keep up to date on some technologies that may crop up here at a later date.
I wouldn't be talking about a sea of ego's today.
It can be vast and shallow. Like a swamp or something...
I do it because i felt happy when I found someone got benifited from my post and I saved his/her time and torubles
u can learn here much
its worth then u can help other ppl :P
forum is a good place to share and gain knowledge about some specific topic, you can learn a lot on forums with different questions asked by members.
I'm here to learn and to help others learn when I can. I basically try to pass on what I learn from others around me.
coz it's actually fun... to be able to help.. there's a bit of an achievement to that!!
