To provide design and implementation engineering support to develop and maintain a vDiscovery system environment utilizing the LexisNexis LAW application. Our customer wants to develop a centralized virtual discovery (vDiscovery) platform for use by U.S. Attorney litigation support specialists. The system will be built utilizing the VMWare view client attached to an EMC VNX storage system with the LAW application running on the virtual desktop. The candidate should be able to write SQL scripts to leverage the DB.
This “sneak preview” can significantly reduce the amount of data that needs to be stored, processed and ultimately reviewed into VMware Cisco UCS and HP Pod environment. Support for SharePoint workflow that ties the project together is also vital. Complete analysis, design, implementation, and testing of virtual desktops for remote desktop and desktop replacement will also needed.
Detailed Tasks- The engineer will:
•Minimizing large datasets using Early Data Analyzer.
•Processing large datasets
•Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to e-Discovery processing.
•Importing text, images and native files to document review systems
•Using Microsoft PowerShell and Command Line for day today administration on SQL Server.
•Custom design database space and disk space monitoring/reporting system utilizing a variety of PowerShell, T-SQL scripts to produce dimensional models and statistics of growth and trends that can predict the growth cycle of data on disk drives.
•Manage archiving of SQL Server backups and compression using Batch and PowerShell script routine to to adjust to database additions and deletions without user intervention.
•Using third party tools (e.g., Redgate) to help in backup and monitoring functions of an enterprise environment.
•Generating reports to support work performed at each step of workflow.
