    Unanswered: Comparing Data

    Hi,

I have two tables of data, taken from two different sources.

The systems used to produce the data for he tables both produce results that are written differently but mean the same thing.

I know there are instances where the outcomes should the same (although will be written differently) however they are not which means one system has not been updated correctly.

Can anyone recommend a good way of doing this please?

    Thanks,
    Ian

You need to create a translation table that will link the different versions of the same values together. Then you can compare matches on the key values.
10% of magic is knowing something that no-one else does. The rest is misdirection.
