Unanswered: Odbc problem With Procedure containing Begin Work and commit Work
Hi, I have a problem when calling a stored procedure wich contain the Begin Work and Commit Work statement from the SAP BODI ETL.
Then problem is the ETL encounter the error wich is sent by the Odbc driver
"General error" When I comment the begin work and commit Work the Job is lanching successfully.
Need help : CSDK 3.50 TC5 Wit Informix 10
This error is probably given because the stored procedure is expecting to work on a logged database.
Apparently, you db is not logged, explaining that the SP works without begin/commit.
If you can modify the source of the SP, and allowed to do it, what you can do is to add a "raise exception" on BEGIN WORK, COMMIT WORK and ROLLBACK WORK, so that it does not fail if the db is not logged.
Not very beautiful, but it should work.
THe other question is "why isn't your database in log mode"?
Hi, the problem is that is a bug in the Odbc 3.50 TC5, when it got Begin twice, It hangs with this error, so I have eliminate the Begin but the proble now is the error 'not in transaction' I don't know why ??
