Question Unanswered: "SQL1035N The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019" at backup start

I's appreciate any help or suggestion regarding this matter:

We've got 2 databases (DB2/NT64 9.7.0). During or eod routine, we perform a backup of each. Sometimes the routine returns "SQL1035N The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019" for teh second db.

The "sometimes" part is driving us crazy...
    The script goes as follows:
    force application
    list application
    result for first db
    db2bp.exe
    db2dasstm.exe
    backup - successful
    force application
    list application
    result for second db
    db2bp.exe
    db2dasstm.exe
backup - sometimes successful, sometimes "SQL1035N The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019"

    Cheers!

after the force a new connection can be activated
use quiesce instead to avoid this message or take online backup if possible

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
