Unanswered: best practice for setting up tables for financial reporting db
I need to set up a db for financial reporting that includes the ability to do reports by property, by category, for the whole portfolio and yoy too. I have set up tables for other types of data and it was a logical process. in this case even though I work with financial reports all the time I am having trouble setting up the tables. I will enter (import) data monthly that is the income and expenses by category for each property of an 81 property portfolio. I need to be able to analyze yoy increases in revenue by property and by portfolio, analyze different expense categories by comparing to other properties and also yoy. I would appreciate any guidance on the table structure you can give me.
