    Unanswered: DB2 Row Compression

    Hi,

I am working on a project which unload the table data by reading the datafile and extents stored in a disk. Some one developed it for the normal table.

i am unable to do if the table is row compressed.

row compression used the dictionary page to store the entries. so can anyone please let me know the structure of dictionary page ?

Let me know if you need any further information ?

    Thanks
    Kumar

do you mean : you are directly reading from physical files created/maintained by DB2 ?

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

it was developed by some one and i am adding the new feature to that. After analyzing the code i confirmed that they are reading the records from datapages.
