Unanswered: multiple fields and columns reports

    Hi:

I am trying to make a report like the attachment. The query fields are:

    student id
    Quarter (1,2,3,4)
    Teacher
    Subject
    Percentage
    grade
    Comment
    Effort
    Conduct

    Thanks very much in advance,

    Mary

as with all these sort of problems the first step is marshall the dat (ie get the data into some semblance of the same order as you want.
you may need to use a pivot table / crosstab query

bear in mind that the Access report sub system has very powerfull reporting tools attached to it. sometimes the bog standard reports don't cut it but you can still use Access reports, y just have to do some of the spade wotk yourself,r ather than rely ont he Access runtime to do it all for you.

another alternative is to use sub reports to do the work for you, although that may noit be a flyer

another approach is to stuff the data into an Excel spreadsheet
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
