Unanswered: trying to connect from toad for DB2 - Socket error
trying to connect from toad for DB2 and getting the below error
ERROR  [IBM] SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication protocol being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKS". Location where the error was detected: "<ip address>". Communication function detecting the error: "Rconnect". Protocol specific error code(s): "10061", "*", "*". SQLSTATE=08001
add the env varialbe SOCK_NS, DBCOMM=TCPIP, SOCK_HOST even after that we are getting the same error. we even tried accessing thro various port 50000, 44,447
but not able to connect
please do the needful in resolving this issue. 1st would like what is the cause for this error
can anybody connect to this server
check svcename (port) - db2comm=tcpip
at client : hostname,port:database
