Unanswered: Please help in decrypt info contained in a few columns in database

    Hi Experts,

I have a PHP script that uses a mcryptkey (which I have available) to encrypt/decrypt info like email addresses, phone numbers, etc. I basically need to get the info to a SQL

    The key is "XYZ."

    I tried as below:

SELECT AES_DECRYPT( phone, '"XYZ."' ) AS phone
    FROM users_info
    WHERE phone IS NOT NULL

gettting some un known results as :

    8a9036becc90a187488d56d38
    967a9453f94d887d35870e326b4b4d54d10306cf6f40afce54 2423f

Is there any options to know the original data from database using SQL Statement ?
    Please help me .

let me know if you need any other info

    Thanks
    Naveen

The key is everything. Without the correct key you data will always be encrypted. However, first thing I would do is look closely at these records to see if by any chance they were added unencrypted in the first place. If not then you will have to guess the key.
