Unanswered: db2pd -runstats doesn't give usefull output

We are running a runstats on a table:

    Code:
    db2 runstats on table xxx
This runstats is running for about 17 hours at this moment.
I like to see the progress of the runstats.
    Therefore I issue the command
    Code:
    db2pd -db database -runstats
    .

We get some output, but it doesn't say anything about the runstats.

    Code:
    Database Partition 0 -- Database XXX -- Active -- Up 4 days 18:13:39 -- Date 02/27/2013 08:58:08

    Table Runstats Information:

    Index Runstats Information:
We are using db2 version 9.7.3

Why doesn't it give any output? Is there another way to see the progress?

if no runstats have completed - no output - similar as you have
    if runstats run
    (2)[db2inst1@dlx00003 bnd]$ db2pd -runstats -db clsm

    Database Member 0 -- Database CLSM -- Active -- Up 0 days 00:00:33 -- Date 2013-02-27-09.23.32.305887

    Table Runstats Information:

    Retrieval Time: 02/27/2013 09:23:32
    TbspaceID: 3 TableID: 269
    Schema: CLSM TableName: FILE
    Status: Completed Access: Allow write
    Sampling: No Sampling Rate: -
    Start Time: 02/27/2013 09:23:27 End Time: 02/27/2013 09:23:28
    Total Duration: 00:00:01
Cur Count: 0 Max Count: 0
    Index Runstats Information:

no info about progress as with list utilities....
you can always raise a design change request from IBM ...

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
