    Unanswered: RollBack Running on PROD

Yesterday, our PROD server was receiving a lot of timeout errors so we killed our DEFRAG job and since then the defrag job is rolling back. It's been over a day now. It seems like it's stuck somewhere. I/O is too high and there are like 56 threads for that transaction that are blocking each other.

Do you think there is anything we can do to make this rollback complete or anything we can check ?

If you have a usable backup for your database, then you have some options to speed things up. All of the "fast" choices involve destroying the database and reloading it from a backup.

Letting the ROLLBACK operation finish normally is the fastest way to get the process to complete so that you can have access to the existing database again.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.
