    Unanswered: i cannot connect to sql server 2005 and 2008

    when i want connect it ,it takes this error,,please help

    The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.

    Is the SQL Server named "b" available? Is the Windows host for b running, and is the SQL Server started in the Windows Services?

    b is my computer name ,i tried b and many names but i didn't get anything,,please what can i do

    First, check to see if the SQL Service is running (in Windows Services). My guess is that it stopped for some reason, and a simple restart will get you running happily.
