Unanswered: cloning AIX DB2 9.7 DC using "EMC Open replicator" from oneAIX server to other server

    Hi DBAs

I need your help. We are in process to migrated our data center from one location to other (new) location. We will be using "EMC Open replicator" to clone all file systems (which includes OS, DB2, Content Manager) everthing from one server to new server.

I would like to know that what approach we should take so that after copying file system to new server the DB2 database is not affected.

    Please share your advice.

    thanks
    Jitendra

Will any instances and databases be active while the replication is in progress?

Search for WRITE SUSPEND in the forum. Similar questions have been discussed - though not for EMC

No. The instance and database will be offline during the replication.

Do the two servers have the EXACT same configuration (disk, memory, etc)?
