Unanswered: DB2 client tools supported by IBM

Besides Control Center and Data Studio, are there are any additional free GUI/client tools that are supported by IBM (eligible for DB2 Support via pmrs). This is for v9.x and v10.

Control Center is no longer supported in V10.1.

There are some non-DB2 IBM products, such as Cognos, etc, that can access DB2 with GUI interface.

    Tools for doing what?

InfoSphere Data Architect is a tool. IBM Optim Performance Manager is a tool. IBM Optim Configuration Manager is a tool.

If the tool is from IBM, then it will (likely) be supported.

Vendor tools support will be from those vendors. Tool vendor may in turn may contact IBM, but it is unlikely that a customer can raise a PMR for a vendor tool.

Good question, should have mentioned this in my original post.

I need a basic GUI tool that can be used to query/update data, a tool that is free and supported by IBM. Preferably a tool that can be used to access both LUW and zOS databases. I don't think Cognos/InfoSphere are free tools, which leaves me with just Data Studio/Control Center. Is this correct?

Does anyone know if Data Studio is supported through the forum or you can open a pmr and get full support?

To the best of my knowledge you can open a PMR as long as you have an DB2 license entitlement.

    https://www-947.ibm.com/support/serv...pSelect.action

    lists data studio ..

    Cheers

    My search results:
Data Studio PureQuery Runtime for z/OS V1.2
Data Studio PureQuery Runtime for z/OS V2.1

Does it mean I can only open pmrs for this specific Data Studio product? Or can I open a pmr using DB2 ESE product and ask them to redirect to Data Studio team...

Data Studio is free so I'm not sure how pmrs opened against Data Studio product get entitled. If we have a license entitlement for DB2 ESE, does it mean I can open Data Studio related pmrs or only if we have entitlement for Data Studio?

If you have support entitlement for any DB2 product, that should cover Data Studio as well.

PureQuery is a separate product, not free, so that would probably be a separate entitlement.
