    Unanswered: dropping partitions and rebuilding indexes - 10g

    Hi

    I have a 10g database which contains partitioned (daily) tables and local indexes.

    Code:
    CREATE TABLE SCHEMA.TABLE
    (
      DATETIME   DATE,
      HOSTNAME VARCHAR2(25),
      COL1 NUMBER
    )
    NOLOGGING
    PCTFREE 60
    TABLESPACE TBSPACE
    PARTITION BY RANGE (DATETIME)
    (
    PARTITION P19900101 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('1990-01-01 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))
    );
    The issue is, I can see data loading into the table but when I check the partitions via 'Toad', it shows '0' rows inserted into that partition. But when I query the table for that particular date, I get the rows that have been loaded into the table. A bit confused as to why the loaded rows are not showing up in 'Toad'.
    Having said that, I can see rows inserted into older partitions like a week back.

    Any ideas?

    Regards
    Shajju

    Other sessions can not see uncommitted data/rows.
