    Unanswered: Automatically close pop-up

    Hey everyone,

When I open my database a Switchboard pop up window is shown. I want to have that pop up close as soon as the user makes a selection, but for the life of me I cannot get it to work.

I've tried Docmd.Close prompts on practically every event, I've tried Docmd.Close If prompts on the forms being opened, and I've tried placing a Close Window Macro in the button. For some reason, none of it is working, I'm running Access 2010, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I got it to work by running a CloseWindow macro on each of my forms and reports during the OnLoad event.

you could have wrote a function that simply sets the form to not visible on the load event of any form or in that case the deactivate event ot the switchboard.
