Unanswered: Need help to allocate the tablespace for the tables

    Hi all,

In our setup db2 V9.7 with fixpack 4

Environment is going to dev to testing

Need help to allocate the tablespace for the tables.

Database contains nearly 200 tables, peoples are asking to create individual tablespace per table. If it's required to allocate like this?

And how to allocate the bufferpool for the tablespace?

But the Database size is going to be Terabyte size with 3TB.

Please suggest how to allocate the tablespace?

    Thanks,
    laxman..

    all depends.. your standardization..
for large table I would recommend separate tablespaces and for data/index/long
for tables with same behavior also
put many small read only tables together and specific bp
    look at best practices book....
