    Unanswered: Issues with dropping stored procedure..

    Hi all,

    In our setup db2 v9.7 with fixpack 4

    Facing issues with stored procedure,Not able to drop the stroed procedure.

    I was wondering application team created the stored procedure by using the same twicely. Whether it's application in db2??

    Like : GETEXTRACTIONWINDOW (IS CREATED TWICELY)

    I tried to drop the procedure i am getting the error:

    db2 => DROP PROCEDURE "db2STG".GetExtractionWindow
    DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a
    valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned:
    SQL0476N Reference to routine "db2STG.GETEXTRACTIONWINDOW" was made without a
    signature, but the routine is not unique in its schema. SQLSTATE=42725

    How to drop the procedure??

    Thanks,
    laxman..

    There are several procedures with the same name, you need to specify which one to drop. Either specify the signature:

    Drop procedure... (integer, char)

    or use the specific name:

    Drop specific procedure...

    lelle thanks for your reply.

    Here what is the issue means two stored procedures are created with the same name under the single schema..

    I tried to drop the procedure i am getting the error:

    db2 => DROP PROCEDURE "db2STG".GetExtractionWindow

    Thanks,
    laxman..

    I don't understand. Do you want to drop the procedure? In that case I already described how to do it. Have you tried what I suggested?
