    This is a database forum.
Ask your question in a web design forum.
If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

Don't worry about removing the post. It will fall off eventually.

Pop over to Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet for opinions on SEO, Drupal, XOOPS, Joomla, Wordpress, etc. There are folks there that deal with those subjects every day.

I was looking for that link for him.
Why doesn't dbforums have links on the homepage to its sister forums?

Wordpress is significantly preferred for SEO over Joomla. Wordpress' true SEO power originates from the astounding array of plugins accessible to make your existence simpler. It is a definite winner here, but Joomla isn't that terrible that you may as well totally evade it on the groundwork of SEO alone.

    WordPress VS Joomla

    WordPress
    1) SEO: WordPress is much better than Joomla
    2) Slightly more user-friendly
    3) Great for newbies
    4) Great for a blog
    5) More popular
    6) Free
    7) More free theme and Plugins
    8) Used by New York Times and CNN

    Joomla
    1) Better for static or corporate sites
    2) Free
    3) Powerful Extensions
    4) Great for E-commerce stores and social networking sites
    5) Used by eBay, Ikea and harvard university

Just to throw two cents into the fray, WordPress was once the runaway winner in terms of "out of the box" SEO. As the search engines have evolved and the base offerings of the Content Managers like Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and Xoops have evolved the "out of the box SEO" lead is now swapping back and forth.

What you do with your site now has a thousand times more impact on SEO than the software that you use to host the site.

I think, I would prefer the Wordpress because I'm more into blogs and I'm more familiar with it. Perhaps, Joomla is for those who are interested in creating amazing websites because it is more of a community type site.

I've never used Joomla before so I can't exactly compare the two. But I know that I've used WordPress for years and never had to look for another.

For SEO purpose WordPress is much more better. Because it's easy to work and available plugins.
