Unanswered: Doubt in the file system and creation of tablespace

    Hi all,

In our setup using db2 v9.7 with fixpack 4

Have a question in tablespace creation?

We are using linux box it have file systems.

I tried to connect the Australian machine from India. Through VM

Usually creation of tablespace will happend within a seconds..

But I tried to create the tablespace with 1 gb of size using the file systems it's taking min 15 to complete..

Even i tried the same tablespace creation with 1gb under local disk in the server it took only 15 sec to complete.

Whether it's the problem in the db2 database level, or in the file system level?

I checked iostat level iowait is occupied 13%..

    Where it went wrong ?

    Thanks,
    laxman..
