Question Unanswered: Who knows the best way to Unload Clob and Load again

This is a real task from my practice:

    I have a table:

    Arch_MSG_tbl

    MSG_id INTEGER
    MSG_header VARCHAR(255)
    MSG_TMS TIMESTAMP
    MSG_INFO CLOB(500K)

Every month I have to delete old records from this table, using MSG_TMS.

But before delete I have to save deleted rows in a sequential file(s).

I have to archive this information fo 12 month.

But by user request I have to restore information in a table for any of saved months.

    Give me your advises.

    Hi Lenny,

which platform? If LUW, then simply export the data (export to bla.ixf of ixf lobs to <PATH> ...). Afterwards you could also compress the data...

If requested you can import/load the data again...
