Unanswered: Facing issues with connecting the databases

    Hi all,

In our setup db2 v9.7 with fixpack 4

Facing issues with connecting the databases.

Setup have the instance with the name of db2inst1 it contains 6 partitioned databases..

Tried to connect the database it took more 15 minutes to connect the database.
Once i connect the database executing the select query it took 10 minutes to fetch 100 records.

    How to solve this issue?

    Thanks,
    laxman..

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

    Hi guy,

    Thanks for your reply..

Not for the single it's happening for all the queries..

I tried the activate database command, even it took nearly 15 minutes to activate..

    Thanks,

    activate has to create logfiles-bufferpools......
    probably cpu or memory constraint....

    Hi guy,

    Thanks for your reply.

I am not aware of the memory constranint. It means for both the instance and database level?

    Thanks,
    laxman.
