    Unanswered: License Check

License check was performed against server KP5SSDB1O.BPO.BP.COM, calling the V9+ license procedure failed: ErrorCode=-805 SQLState=51002
    Server version: SQL09077

we see this error on the client node in jccdiag.log.

We recently upgraded the servers and clients from 9.5 to 9.7.
    ..
    any help is appreciated

you could try db2licm -l locally on the server
    -805 means package not found

Db2licm shows the new version license .. Noticed some invalid packages though... We ran Rebind all packages at the database level...does the order in which we run db2licm update vs rebind packages matter..

    could you rephrase the question
db2licm update --> db2licm -a is only executed once to install the license
    -l to display
    bind (which lst ?) normally db2ubind db2cli db2schema db2look
these are mostly all packages for nullid

    sorry for my sluggish question..
After 9.7 installation, we ran db2licm -a as part of the license registration. We verified by running db2licm -l command. However, we noticed some nullid packages in syscat.packages with VALID type = 'N' (invalid packages).

We did run the following binds as part of the upgrade.. don't know if the order of the binds verses db2licm -a matters..

bind db2schema.bnd blocking all grant public sqlerror continue
bind @db2ubind.lst blocking all grant public sqlerror continue
bind @db2cli.lst blocking all grant public sqlerror continue

Here are my list of questions.

    1. Are we missing any binds other than the listed above?
    2. Should the above binds follow db2licm -a or doesn't matter whether we run those binds before or after db2licm -a.

I'd suggest to open a PMR.
