Unanswered: store backspace characters in char fields

    Hi,

when trying to insert backspace(\x08) character in the database is failing. is there a limitation on the characters? the source is DB2 on mainframes which is able to store the \x08 character while the db2 on character field is not able to.
any idea what could be missing between these 2 databases?

    thanks!!
