Question Unanswered: Commit/rollback in a function

I read in post that: A function does represent a transaction. You do not have to wrap a function in BEGIN/COMMIT

I just wanted to know if this is the case or not?

    Many thanks, Dave.

You can not commit or rollback inside a function.

The function is always executed in the transaction established by the caller.
I will not read nor answer questions where the SQL code is messy and not formatted properly using [code] tags: http://www.dbforums.com/misc.php?do=bbcode#code
