    Hello Everyone!

    Hello Everybody, my name is Christopher and I am new to the forums here. I recently started working with a data integration software company, Astera Software. I came here to communicate with the community.

    If anyone is looking a proprietary commercial ETL or EDI software check out our website (Data Integration Software | .NET ETL | Data Mapping Software - Astera Software)

    If anyone has any questions about our software, feel free to ask me! I definitely want to communicate with all of you because this space has become very interesting to me ever since I started working here and I hope to get to know all of you better!

    Hi , Thanks for helping DBFORUMS.
    I have a DB2 SQL select query which takes long time . Can you help me to tune this sql.

    SELECT swslsddt, vakd, swutnr
    FROM UD.table
    WHERE swaasid = 'ABCD'
    AND swacid = '1234'
    AND swslsdmk = 'F'
    UNION ALL
    SELECT swslsddt, vakd, swutnr
    FROM UD.table
    WHERE swaasid = 'ABCD'
    AND swacid = '1234'
    AND swslsdmk = 'F' ORDER BY 1 DESC, 3 DESC
    OPTIMIZE FOR 1 ROW;

    Hello rkaakarlaa,

    If you are using OF1R, make sure that you have indexed swslsddt and swutnr. it will get the rows via indexes , eliminating the need for sort and making is much faster. If no suitable index is found, OF1R does not have any effect.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your reply. I am using index for both swaasid and swslsdmk.
    I am matching the rows with two tables.

    SELECT swslsddt, vakd, swutnr
    FROM UD.table1
    WHERE swaasid = 'ABCD'
    AND swacid = '1234'
    AND swslsdmk = 'F'
    UNION ALL
    SELECT swslsddt, vakd, swutnr
    FROM UD.table2
    WHERE swaasid = 'ABCD'
    AND swacid = '1234'
    AND swslsdmk = 'F' ORDER BY 1 DESC, 3 DESC
    OPTIMIZE FOR 1 ROW;
