    Post Unanswered: Run MySQL database server issue

    Hi All,

    When i try to run MySQL database server getting below errors,

    [mysql@TEST app] $ bin/mysqld safe --user=mysql &
    [1] 9046

    Plz let konw the solution for this issue.

    OS --> Redhat linux 5 64-Bit
    MySQL ---> mysql-advanced-5.5.17-linux2.6-x86_64

    Firstly you should this as mysqld_safe and not mysqld safe. The second error is related to access permissions to /db/mysql/tmp/iboBah3h which either does not exist or if it is exists you have insufficient permissions on this directory or file.
