    Unanswered: DB2 activation scenario

    Hi

I've created a database "testdb" on some mount point /testdb.
    Activated it and used.
Then I've deactivated the db and uncataloged.

And I tried to created the same db on different mount point /dbtest. Creation of database is successful, but when I tried to activate the database it is still getting activated on mount point (/testdb) on which it was initially active.

    Why is that behaviour?

    thanks,
    chinni

    was db dropped ?
activate is not needed to see the mount point
    list db directory should show
what was the command to create the db

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

DB was not dropped, just uncataloged.

    >>what was the command to create the db
    db2 create database <dbname> on <mountpoint>

    >> activate is not needed to see the mount point
Of course list db will show the current mount point, but why list active databases is still pointing to the old mount point?

for the config files... use : dbpath on
