    Unanswered: confusion in db2 get authorizations

    Hi all ,

    [db2inst1@localhost ~]$ db2 connect to sample

    this command give list of authorization that user have on this database ,but my doubt is what is direct and what is indirect in above output?

    Direct -- granted directly to the user. Indirect -- acquired via a group membership (i.e. granted to the group to which the user belongs).

    I have one more doubt I QUIESCED the database as the instance owner(db2inst1).I found
    Direct QUIESCE_CONNECT authority = NO,Indirect QUIESCE_CONNECT authority = NO ,but still I am able to connect to database as instance owner?

    Could you please help me in this issue

    May be it's a good time for you to start reading manuals, e.g. the description of the QUIESCE command.
