Unanswered: SSIS PAckage and txt source

    Hello Developers and DBAs
So i have a SSIS Package that loads a txt file into a table. my issue is this package is randomly excluding some rows when it executes. e.g the file has 220 records it loads 200 records. does anyone has an idea why this could be happening?

Check for space (empty rows) in the source.

I often see the last line of the file get missed due to a missing end-of-line marker (usually 0x0d0a which is a carriage-return followed by a line-feed).

Another thing to check is malformed end-of-lines. If you define end-of-line using the default 0x0d0a (carriage return, line feed) pair and end a few lines with just carriage-return or line-feed then the following line (or sometimes both lines) will be ignored by the SSIS import.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.

    Hi Mosdef

Check also for single double quotes in lines, they start but do not end with it.

I actually checked that return nulls option and looks like that solved my issue. Thanks guys.
