Unanswered: db2 luw non-table/view ddl generation, howto

    db2 / linux 9.7

    Hi,

Any idea how to generate ddl of indexes only or sequences only using db2 luw? I do not need table/view ddls in output file. Looks like db2look takes only table/view as input and gets dependent objects. Is it possible to get ddls of indexes and sequences alone?

    Thanks,
    Amar

You may use IBM Data Studio as there you have the DB objects grouped by their type

You can run db2look for the entire database, not just for a particular table. The sequences will be all in one section. so you can edit the file to remove everything else before and after the sequences. However, the indexes will be with each table.
