    Unanswered: Materialized view creation issue

    Is it possible to:

1). Create a materialized view in SCHEMA A using DBlink pointing to SCHEMA B
    in SAME DATABASE?

I have such a sql but it hangs when doing creation.

    any ideas?

you can't do DDL across DBLINK.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

Post your sql your using and the database version(s), Because this works:
    Code:
    create materialized view schema.name_mv
      REFRESH FORCE
      as
        select *
         from schema.table@to_database
        where id in( select id
                       from schema.table_name )

What is the reason you think you need a dblink to access another schema in the same database?

"It does not work" is not a valid problem statement.
