Unanswered: how to set up client server application using vb.net and ms access

hi.its my first such application. front end is Vb.net and database is in ms access. its a quiz application and its working on my laptop. now I wish to set up a client server where the clients can access a server server database which contains the questions using a LAN. the clients should access the database directly I.e. without using the internet . all machines run windows 7 . there are around 7 computers.
how do I set up a server that contains ms access database?
how do I connect the clients to the server?

what are the hardware and software requirements. .?

do I need to install windows server on the server.?

    what i would do is

get the IT guys to setup a read write share and make it Hidden with the $

    put the database there

then point the connection string to to it

the connection will look some like \\servername\databasefoldname$\datbasename.mdb
