Unanswered: Taking a value in a record and align with another

    Hello,

I thought a simple query with a max or a sum would do, but does not work. I try to find a way to do the following.

Through a query or a control on a form, I would like:

    - for each "Manufacturer" #3 per category => a field or control showing the largest Value from "Market Share" in line with the #3 (see below in the example)

    Is it possible?
    Thanks

Category / Manufacturer / Brand / Market Share / Largest Manufacturer
    A 1 aa 15
    A 1 bb 20
    A 2 cc 45
    A 3 dd 20 45
    B 4 ee 35
    B 3 ff 55 35
    B 5 gg 10
    C 3 dd 45 55
    C 6 hh 55

can you supply the design of the tables the RI links
    ideally some sample data
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

This table is not linked to any other.

For example in my initial post: in the "A" Category Manufacturer "2" got a share of 45% (is a number 0.45 in the table).

From there, let say in a control on the form, I would like to display that value 45%, on the Manufacturer "3" record.

And do the same for each record with Manufacturer 3

    hope it clarifies

what is the relationship between manufacturer 2 & 3?

is it just the top two manufacturers of each category that you want the vales for, or all

does the manufacturer ID have to be in ascending order
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

Manufacturer 3 is the reference and 2 the competitor with the highest share in the category.

    Ascending order is not necessary.
