Question Unanswered: revoking syscat access from DBADM authority

    hello everybody,

i am having db2 9.7 on aix 6.1 and would liek to do following:
I have a user with DBADM rights and want to remove access (select insert update delete) to the syscatalog tables. I have tried revoking dbadm privilege and explicitely revoking dataaacess and accessctrl. After that I regranted dbadm without dataaccess and without accessctrl, but I assume dbadm always has the ability to access those tables right? Is there any other way or is it even possible? the dbadm needs to be kept on that user.

    thank you

As far as i know, you cannot revoke any access from the person who holds DBADM. best way is to grant him the privilages required .. rather than revoking the acccess from system tables
