    Unanswered: Oracle Database for Oracle VM Virtual Box?

    Sorry for the very ignorant question here but I am starting to learn Oracle and am having one of our help desk guys install the Oracle VM Virtual Box software on my laptop. I am running Windows and want to know if I also have to install a practice Oracle database too? I can't tell from the documentation if a database is provided w/ the VM. Thanks.

    You can load into VirtualBox a Virtual Machine (VM) which already has Oracle installed;
    but since it is a Virtual Machine nothing precludes or prevents you from installing the same or different version of Oracle software again & again.
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
    Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
