    Unanswered: Auto backup online problem

    i tried to set auto backup online at task center ;

    use this command :

    BACKUP DATABASE PCS ONLINE TO "D:\backup_online" WITH 2 BUFFERS BUFFER 1024 PARALLELISM 1 INCLUDE LOGS WITHOUT PROMPTING;

    Timing set at 12:00 AM

    but that's not work

    see at db2diag.log

    i found this :

    it means : when db was started:activated, some bufferpools could not be created because of missing memory
    if fix bp : check that you have not oversized or other db with automatic bp size have used all storage
    if not enoug memory db2 will allocate bp with minimum allocation

    Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
    Spoon feeding : To treat (another) in a way that discourages independent thought or action, as by overindulgence.

    db cfg will be of no help..
    and spoon feeding is over..
    try to read the supplied link and understand what is going on in YOUR db....
    if help needed. I am an independent consultant and come over if needed..

    What is the exact error message? Try running this backup command from the command line.

    The db2diag.log errors you pasted are for a different db (toolsdb)

    Please get the size of each buffer pool, check if STMM is on, running on 64 or 32 bit ?
