    Unanswered: Db2 9.1 SQL1042C when trying to connect.

    Dear DB2 Gurus

    We are using DB2 9.1 fixpack 7, We have SAP implemented though we do not have the support from SAP or from IBM.
    when I try to connect to db2 I get SQL1042C error.
    I have attached the db2daig.log

    Can anyone Please help me ?

    some problem with logfile/directory
    check db cfg and check logpath
    have you done some pd/psi ?
    what does it say .. revealed to you ..

    have a look at DB2 Database for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
    and check for get db cfg....

    You should restore the database from a backup.
    If you don't have it the only way (without IBM support) is to unload each of the database tables to the text files by
    db2dart /DDEL
    utility. But this is a manual process (one by one table) with some limitations and you have to recreate DDL of the database objects yourself.
