    Unanswered: Sharing a database??

We have been using Access 2003 and have just updated our server and now use Access 2010. The database is stored on a shared network drive but for some reason only one person can use the database at a time. When a second person tries to open the database they get the following error message "Your network access was interrupted. To continue, close the database and then open it again". Even after doing that they can't access the database. Any ideas on how we can fix this problem?

Sounds like a incorrectly mapped drive or the folder does not have shared permissions set correctly.

Probably not a mapping problem (but I am by no means an expert otherwise I wouldn't be asking for answers here) as this morning the lady who developed the database was accessing it but now that I am accessing it she can't. I would have thought similar regarding permissions. Am I on the right track thinking this?

Permissions issue for sure. Also don't just think, KNOW about the permissions and mapping.

Problem solved. It was a simple going to Access Options - Client Settings - Advanced then unchecking and re-checking the "Shared" option.
