Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.

If you created the database using DB2 9.7 it was created using UTF-8 by default and can therefore store any language or character set in the database. If you are talking about error messages and things like that, National Language Packs can be installed by running the ./db2setup command from the directory where the National Language Pack resides, after a DB2 database product has been installed.
