    Unanswered: A remote host did not respond within the timeout period

    While making connection with the client when number of transactions increase following error occurs on production. Please check and advise

    A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001:java.net.SocketException: A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.

    have you checked diaglog if any limit has been hit

    A remote host did not respond within the timeout period

    What kind of limit we need to check, i have found following limits in db2diag.log.

    when did it happen ?
    check diaglog for that timeframe (end of diaglog is 20130822)

    connection type : client ? java 2-4 ?
