Unanswered: Menu Bar in 2000 but not in 2010?

    Hello all,

I recently migrated (using Save & Publish) a Access 2000 database/application into Access 2010. However, if i open the old version, I have a Menu Bar I created (dont remember how) but in the new copy, it no longer exists.

Do menu bars not convert to the new versions? If they are still here, how do I find them to edit them?

    Thanks!

    Jennifer

Almost any major release of Access provided a different way to build custom menu bars. The only constant (since Access 2) is the use of special macros. These macros still work in Access 2007 and Access 2010. However, as the classic Menubar/Toolbar interface of the previous versions was placed by the so-called ribbon, the menus you define (using macros or any other method) now appear in a particular Tab of the aforementioned ribbon (probably named "add-ins" in an English version of Access).
